In June 2019, a juvenile raccoon dog was found on the campus of Musashi Academy for the first time since raccoon dogs were bred there three years before. It is considered to be a pup from a pair of raccoon dogs observed on the campus in late January 2019. Also, the predation by a raccoon dog of bird corpses on the campus was captured by a sensor camera.
